Generational Health
Generational Health works with individuals and families to provide unique care, education and resources to navigate chronic mental health conditions.

Families who work with Generational Health find that they’re no longer struggling with loss of motivation, loss of routine, or overwhelming emotional rollercoasters. The unknowns are no longer debilitating—they have the confidence and strength to make it through, and they’re starting to feel more motivated and positive again.

When working with individuals, I firmly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. You are the expert in your own life and I am honored you have chosen me to sit beside you in what may feel like a very difficult season.

My Experience
I’ve worked in a number of settings during graduate school and post-grad such as a youth and family services agency, college counseling center, a public health department crisis center, inpatient psychiatric hospital, and private practice.

Early on in my career I treated young adults struggling with substance dependence through one on one therapy and group therapy. I have treated clients experiencing suicidality and hopelessness in-person and via the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. I have worked with individuals after a mental health emergency in a crisis center and psychiatric hospitalization setting. This care consists of involving family members and loved ones for holistic treatment and continued outpatient support.

Hello!
I’m Roxanne,
I specialize in treating people coping with chronic mental health diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder.

I love working with individuals and families coping with chronic mental health conditions, because I too have been there, both professionally and personally. I know what it can be like on a level that I couldn't without living through it.

Being a witness and caregiver to a close loved one having a severe and persistent mental illness is difficult to endure. I have my own life experience that allows me a deeper understanding and I too, acknowledge everyone's path is different, no two are the same.
Taking the Next Step
I’ve been where you are and with the help of going to therapy, support groups, and making ongoing efforts to not silence the unhealthy patterns of coping within my family structure I wouldn't have been able to figure it out on my own.

I’m passionate about fighting the mental health stigma that undoubtedly lingers throughout generations and I am passionate about helping others believe they can have the unhealthy cycle of silence, shame, and judgment, end with them.

I believe that you have the strength and tenacity to make it through, and I want to help you do it.
